"Here Are The 5 Most Crucial Periods For Your Child Right Now!"
Here's a roadmap for you! There are 5 crucial periods, as shown above that lead up to the PSLE.
1) November / December holidays:
Your child must take advantage of this opportunity to consolidate what they've learnt in Primary 5 and strengthen their weak areas.
2) January to March:
There are only 8 weeks in this period where brand new Primary 6 topics and challenging problem sum methods are introduced. Some of these topics are completely brand new and your child needs to be able to understand them quickly - this can be easy with the right techniques.
3) April to June:
There are a further 10 weeks here where more topics taught in P5 go in depth and get exponentially challenging. Does your child really understand what's taught? In our experience, with the abolishment of the mid-year exams, students might become disillusioned as to how well they're doing. Your child will be given an exam at the end of this phase to assess whether they really are doing well and will discover what needs to be worked on.
4) June holidays:
Your child must take advantage of this opportunity to consolidate what they've learnt in Primary 6 and master the must-know problem sum methods here!
5) July to September:
There are only 14 weeks in this period where new topics like volume, speed and advanced questions are introduced. Your child needs to learn all these new topics while refreshing their memory on everything learnt from Primary 4 to Primary 6!

"Your Child Will Learn At Their Own Pace!"
Every student learns at a different pace and your child is no different.
Your child will be placed into one of the two classes below depending on their ability level so that we can personalise their learning to achieve the best results.
1) STANDARD CLASS: Students who score between 45% to 69%
These students will need to master the basics to score in the Paper 1 first before transitioning to Paper 2 questions and mastering the must-know problem sum methods for each topic.
2) ADVANCED CLASS: Students who score 70% and above
These students already have a good grasp of the basics and need to master the must-know problem sum methods to score in the Paper 2 first before transitioning to advanced questions to score the top grades.
NOTE: Students who fall out of this range will ONLY be accepted on a case-to-case basis.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1) How Long Are The PSLE Intensive Classes?
The Small Private Classes are 3 hours long and are held once a week. These intensive classes are doubly longer so as to give your child an immersion experience and make the lessons more effective! Your child will be given a 10-minute break at the 1.5 hour mark. The program will run over a period of 32 weeks in total.
2) When Are The PSLE Intensive Classes Held?
The Small Private Classes are held between Fridays to Sundays with various timeslots to choose from. Please proceed to the signup form here and you will be able to see the schedule.
3) Where Are The Small Private Classes Held? Is There An Online Zoom Option?
Classes are held at Math Prodigies Learning Centre at 16 Jalan Masjid, Kembangan Suites #01-07, Singapore 418941. For those of you who stay very far away and would prefer an online class, we have an online Zoom option. Coach Saiful and Coach 'Atikah will make sure to interact with the students at home too so that they're included. However, we would suggest that if your child finds it hard to focus at home, it would be best to still come to the centre.
4) Will The Online Zoom Classes Be Only A One-Way Lecture? Will My Child Benefit From It?
No, the online classes will still be very interactive where Coach Saiful and Coach 'Atikah will call out students to answer questions and clarify their doubts just like how they would if your child was physically at the centre. Students can also ask questions through the chatbox and the Coaches will be able to handle them. In our experience, there's minimal impact to a student's learning if the student is scoring above 65%. This is because these are the students who can keep up easily due to their strong foundation in Math. They also tend to be more focused and independent in their learning. If you know your child do not possess these qualities and you still prefer the Zoom option, you may want to sit with them in the 3 hour class. 5) How Much Is The Upfront Payment For The Program? Are There Any Additional Fees On Top Of This?
The upfront payment for the program depends on the payment plan you choose. Below is the breakdown for the 2 payment plans.
1) Installment Plan:
- First Month's Fee ($440)
- Final Month's Fee ($440)
- One-time Material Fee ($75)
Total Upfront Payment for Installment Plan = $955.
Subsequently, monthly payments of $440 are to be made by the last day of each month.
2) Full Payment Plan:
- Full Payments ($4100)
- One-time Material Fee ($75)
Total Upfront Payment for Full Payment Plan = $4175.
As you can see above, the only additional fee is a one-time material fee of $75.
6) Is There A Trial Lesson For This Program? Considering The Investment, I Would Like To Ensure That My Child Likes The Class And Benefits From It.
We totally understand your concern. Unfortunately, we do not have a trial lesson for this program. However, if you'd like to see if your child likes the class and can benefit from it, you're welcomed to join our holiday programs like Master Problem Sums (www.mathprodigies.com/mps) or The Back to Basics Crash Course (www.mathprodigies.com/basic). These programs are conducted by the same 2 coaches and is a one-off program that runs over the course of 5 days. That's more than enough time to see if it's suitable for your child. 7) In The Event That I Would Like To Switch From The Standard Class to the Advanced Class In The Future, Would That Be Possible?
Yes, of course! Given that there are still seats in the class, your child can make the switch if they qualify for it. At the end of May, there is an exam where your child can be promoted to the Advanced class if they are able to score a particular score for the paper.
8) In The Event That I Would Like To Withdraw My Child From The Program For Any Reason, What Do I Do?
The fact is that there are VERY limited seats for this program as Coach Saiful can only teach so many students at one time for it to be effective. We would suggest that if you have any doubts, speak to us and we'll let you know if your child is suitable for the program. If you are still hesitant then, please do not take up a seat in this program and deprive another child of the seat.
We only have three intakes for this program, once in December, once more in March and a final one in June. If you would like to withdraw your child because you believe that the program is not working, let us know and we'll find out how we can make it work for them. You will be contractually obligated to keep your child in the program until at least May, so let us know so we can help your child better.
